Look For Payday Loan Providers You Can Trust | Finance ...

If you are shopping around for the ideal payday loan providers, you want to choose the one that you know you?ll be able to trust. Don?t simply jump into a loan situation without knowing what you?re getting involved with. This is a great loan option for individuals who require money quickly or even for emergencies. Continue reading for a few things you should look for to locate the best payday loan company.

You want to determine what type of information the company will need. A lot of times a payday loan provider will have to have your bank account information as well as your job history. Lots of payday loan providers are going to employ your present job plus your bank account as a form of credit. Some may not even check your actual credit score.

Since the provider does not look at your credit score they?re taking a major risk on giving credit to certain men and women who other financial institutions probably would not be able to help. For this reason, many payday loan companies impose a higher rate of interest. You?ll need to determine how much interest you are likely to be paying back on your loan before you agree to obtaining it.

You additionally should identify when you are required to pay the loan back. In the majority of cases, a payday loan is usually a short term loan which is only good until your next payday. You must never borrow any more money than you are able to afford to repay. A few providers, based on the state that you are living in, may permit you more time to pay it back or allow you to renew your loan, however a lot of providers are going to expect you to repay it in full on your next payday. You need to check into the details of the loan repayment date before you sign any documents.

Determine just how long it?s going to take for you to receive the loan. In most cases, you can get the amount you want in a couple of short hours. In certain cases you may have to wait a day or two. Find out the waiting period before you select the provider you want to work with.

These loans are good for situations that come about like medical expenses or if your car breaks down. They can additionally be great if you want to go on a spontaneous vacation. The great thing about getting a loan like this is that you do not need to use the money for any certain thing. You can obtain a loan for automobile repairs and in case you have cash left over then go shopping. Finding the best payday loan providers can be a tedious task, however it is going to be worth it to decide on a provider with a great reputation that you can depend on.

Nokia announces 808 PureView: Belle OS, 4-inch display, 41-megapixel camera(!) -- we go hands-on (video)

Remember that Nokia PureView tease from a few days ago? Well, suddenly it all makes sense. We are indeed looking at an imaging flagship phone and a true successor to the N8. It's called the 808 PureView and it's expected to reach Europe in the next quarter for a price of 450 Euros. Before we move on to its craziest feature -- the camera, of course! -- let's run down the other key specs: The OS is Symbian Belle; the engine is a 1.3GHz single-core chip; the display is 4-inches corner to corner but its resolution is a Nokia-style 360 x 640 (nHD). There's 512MB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage that is thankfully expandable via microSD. A Pentaband modem increases the chances of getting a signal while globe-trotting, while data speeds will top out at plain HSPA 14.4Mbps. Now that Carl Zeiss-lensed camera: it handles continuous-focus 1080p, but is claimed to have an incredible sensor resolution of over 41-megapixels when shooting stills -- or 34-megapixels for 16:9 images. It uses some clever interpolation jiggery-pokery that condenses four or five pixels into one pixel, to produce a smaller file size for the output image. It's expected to arrive in May at a price of €450 and if you're curious, we've got a gallery of hands-on images and video for your viewing pleasure. Just follow the break for our first impressions.

Huawei adds home-grown K3V2 quad-core mobile CPU to its arsenal

Huawei
Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, Samsung and Huawei? The Chinese company is hoping to add its name to the list of major players in the mobile CPU game with the K3V2. The processor is a quad-core part that comes clocked at either 1.2 or 1.5GHz. The four A9 cores are actually 64-bit parts, according to chairman Richard Yu, something of a surprise since ARM only ditched wold of 32-bits in October with v8. Also along for the ride are 16 GPU cores, which in a set of carefully picked presentation-friendly benchmarks (NenaMark 2 and Basemark), spanked the Galaxy Nexus and the Transformer Prime. If the marketing buzz is to be believed the K3V2 delivers twice the graphics performance, is 49 percent faster in purely CPU-powered tasks and uses 30 percent less power than its competitors. We shouldn't have to wait much longer to put those claims to the test, however. The chip will be inside the Ascend D quad which should be landing sometime in Q2.

3. CHANCE HARBOUR NEW BRUNSWICK CANADA

Good eveningfrom Chance Harbour! OK, so I've been off the grid for a while. My apologies! With a little nudging from fellow weather observer,?Mike Malley, I'm back!? Two reasons for the absence is boring weather and a torn rotator cuff of the shoulder. Painful and annoying and making it a challenge at times to sit for long periods on the laptop. Our winter hasn't really happened in good old southern New Brunswick. With only 4 storms( if you want to call them that) to date and they didn't amount to very much. Technically storms, yes but, not severe in nature. Add to that roller coaster temperatures of highs and lows and the snow that we did get didn't last long. Such has been the pattern here this 'winter'.

Currently in Chance Harbour we are at -8celcius. The winds are out of the NNW at 15 km/h making the windchill at -14. It will warm up to 0 celcius for the high tomorrow under clear sunny skies. For tomorrow evening, Increasing cloudiness. 60 percent chance of rain showers or flurries overnight. Wind becoming southwest 20 km/h in the evening. Temperature rising to plus 2 by morning. We just hit high tide at 11:17pm at 7.9meters or 25.9feet. Next low tide will be at 5:33am at 0.8meters or 2.6feet. Have a good evening everyone! (Tide Charts Courtesy of Fisheries and Oceans Canada)

?

Also for tomorrow I'll try to get back online and get some more pictures uploaded for Mike Malley. I do have some catching up to do!

97% The Artist

There are many reasons to be cynical as a film fan when the circus of awards season rolls into town. The means by which awards are decided range from the mainly sensible (BAFTAs) to the morbidly stupid (Golden Globes). Great films are ignored because of their mainstream success, while acclaim is given to works that no sensible person would pay to see. The often obscene luxury of the ceremonies is matched only by the industry's bottomless appetite for self-appreciation. And the best film never, ever wins Best Picture: it probably won't even get nominated. But in the midst of all this bitterness and vitriol, it is easy to lose sight of the occasional cause for genuine joy which gets released in the run-up to the Oscars. The fact that The Artist has now swept the Golden Globes and BAFTAs, and looks certain to win big at the Oscars, should not prejudice or tarnish its status as a very fine film. The awards campaign may have inflated its status, at least artistically, but there is still much to enjoy without feeling any guilt about towing the industry line. Apart from its copious nominations, there are several reasons to be sceptical about The Artist. The involvement of Bob and Harvey Weinstein, the king-makers of awards season, recalls all the Oscar-bait banter that swirled around The King's Speech this time last year. This isn't helped by the backlash against the film led by Kim Novak: in an advert in Variety, she accused its composer of "rape" for sampling Bernard Herrmann's score for Vertigo. Finally, there are accusations that the film is a gimmick, which has tricked BAFTA and Academy members, and which in five years' time will be all but forgotten. But whatever one's feelings about the Weinsteins, or Kim Novak, the point which most needs challenging is the final argument. The stories about people demanding refunds because they didn't know The Artist was a silent film says more about the way the film was marketed that the film itself (the intelligence of said punters is still up for debate). There is nothing about the content or style of The Artist to suggest that the filmmakers are cashing in on recent trends, or that silence is being perceived as the new 3D. Like many films about filmmaking, The Artist is the product of someone with deep-rooted affection for cinema. Michel Hazanavicius chose to tell the story as a silent film because that seemed the most fitting and sensible way to do it. By replicating the dramatic and visual styles of 1920s Hollywood, he situates us in the period more evocatively than any film since Tim Burton's Ed Wood. If you were feeling especially harsh, you could quickly deconstruct the plot of The Artist into a muddle of different melodramas along a similar theme. From this viewpoint, it is essentially a romantic version of All About Eve, or A Star is Born with the genders reversed: a young actor rises at the expense of an established star, against the backdrop of some kind of technical sea-change. The film also bears resemblance to Singing in the Rain, in showing silent actors attempting to survive around the first talkies, and The Jazz Singer in the various technical changes which come with the advent of sound. There are also subtle hints to darker works, in particular Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?: both the attempted suicide and the discovery of the auctioned possessions have a distinctly creepy tone, bringing back rich memories of Joan Crawford duelling with Bette Davis. Although widely referred to as a silent film, The Artist does utilise sound on two occasions. There is the final scene where the two stars perform a dance number and John Goodman's director expresses his approval. But far more effective is the nightmare sequence, where everything and everyone except Valentin can make a noise. This Lynchian sequence takes innocuous, everyday sounds, like a phone ringing, girls laughing or a dog barking, and turns them into weapons against the main character. The scene of the feather landing on the ground and producing a huge sound is as weird and unnerving as anything in Eraserhead. Like many of the films from which it borrows, The Artist is about how Hollywood has mistreated, and continues to mistreat, its stars. We have an image of the Golden Era of Hollywood as one where the stars had all the power, when in fact the studios were still firmly pulling the strings of both actors and directors. The film reminds us that the movie business has always been just that: actors are only worth something when they are in fashion. With the endless supply of young talent drawn to the glamour of Hollywood, it is easy to replace the old guard when fashions change. The message of The Artist is that different generations or movements in an art form can coexist, and it is important in celebrating contemporary filmmaking to remember where cinema came from. The commercial success of The Artist on top of all its awards proves that it is possible to have black-and-white in an age of colour, 2D in an supposed age of 3D, and silent in a world of sound. It is a both a soft-hearted tribute to the past and a call to arms to prevent further homogenisation in modern cinema. The biggest success of The Artist is that you are able to enjoy and appreciate it without feeling like you are being lectured, either about the history of cinema or your duty to uphold it for future generations. Within 20 minutes the fact that it is silent will have escaped you - you will be so drawn in by the story, and find the tone so warm and accessible, that it will seem like any other film. It is demonstrable proof, like Inception, that art and entertainment are not competing entities, and that the public will pay in their droves to see intelligent filmmaking regardless of what form it takes. The Artist is a film which genuinely has something for everyone. It quite literally lives up to Geoffrey Rush's line in Shakespeare in Love about audiences wanting "comedy, love and a bit with a dog". The film has a wry sense of humour, using the music and inter-titles to good deadpan effect. The love story, while familiar and melodramatic, is believable from the outset. The pathos is genuine, particularly the scene of the down-and-out Valentin looking at his reflection in a shop window. And the dog, played by Uggie, is very good. The human performances in The Artist are all of a high standard. Both Jean Dujardin and B?r?nice Bejo are charismatic and convincing; they clearly understand the acting styles of melodrama and silent cinema, and so we are spared anything which is self-consciously over-the-top. John Goodman is very good as the cigar-chewing director, and James Cromwell looks the part at Valentin's butler. Special mention should go to the cameo performances of Missi Pyle and Malcolm McDowell: neither is on screen for very long, but both are brilliant physical actors whose slightest move tells you everything you need to know. The Artist is not a perfect film, or the masterpiece that many have made it out to be. The third act drags a little bit, the music is repetitive, and the familiar nature of both its story and characters will leave some feeling they have seen it all before. But it remains a joyous and highly entertaining watch which should not be frowned upon if it wins Best Picture. Like The Jazz Singer before it, future generations may remember it more as an industrial point than for its own merits. All this generation can do is embrace it and enjoy it, and we should feel no guilt for doing so.

After flop, Arsenal eyes recovery

By ROB HARRIS

AP Sports Writer

Associated Press Sports

updated 11:09 a.m. ET Feb. 16, 2012

LONDON (AP) -Arsenal's implosion at AC Milan has left the FA Cup as the club's only realistic route to a trophy after seven demoralizing years without silverware.

And if the season is still to end in glory at Wembley, the Gunners don't have much time to recover from their heaviest-ever European loss, a 4-0 rout at the San Siro in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Arsenal, which is clinging on to fourth in the Premier League, is at Sunderland on Saturday in the fifth round of the FA Cup, which Arsene Wenger's side won in 2005.

"The season is not finished," Wenger said. "We have a big game on Saturday and it is a good opportunity to show we have character and mental strength, that we can respond after such a shocking defeat. You could blame and blame, but we have to stick together and win the next game. A big disappointment like that has consequences on your belief.

"We have a lot of work to regroup and not a lot of time to prepare for Saturday's game, when we need to show something completely different."

Even Thierry Henry in his last game before returning to the New York Red Bulls could not inspire Arsenal against Milan. The Premier League side struggled to keep hold of the ball to play its fluid brand of attacking football.

"It was a shocking result and a shocking performance. It was of those nights you never forget," Wenger said. "There was not one moment in the 90 minutes we were really in the game, and it was always the same problem, balls over the top and we were well beaten."

Arsenal is 17 points behind leader Manchester City in the Premier League and only ahead of Chelsea for the last Champions League spot on goal difference.

The FA Cup has also taken on renewed importance for Chelsea and Liverpool, who are out of the Premier League title race and both face League Championship sides this weekend.

Chelsea hosts Birmingham on Saturday with pressure mounting on manager Andre Villas-Boas after just one win in five matches, prompting a reported showdown with his players on Sunday.

"There were not strong words, basically there was a meeting, but it was nothing dramatic," he said. "We all understand we need to do more, our run of results hasn't been impressive but the responsibility is shared. If you're able to gain strength you can go on a good run but we need actions more than anything.

"I think in the end, there are always positives to take out from meetings, everybody wants to be involved, you have to go face-to-face."

Unlike Arsenal, Chelsea still has a realistic chance of advancing in the Champions League with the first leg of its last-16 match at Napoli not until Tuesday.

"We are trying hard, but the fans deserve a reaction, when you have negative moments you expect a reaction," Villas-Boas said. "We need to give fans something to cheer about, it just hasn't been happening for us."

Liverpool hosts Brighton on Sunday after eliminating Manchester United in the fourth round.

Morale is low at Anfield after losing to United in the Premier League on Saturday in an ill-tempered match that left Kenny Dalglish's side seventh. The club was also widely criticized for its initial backing of Luis Suarez over a race row, before a series of apologies.

With a League Cup final against Cardiff looming at the end of February, advancing to the FA Cup quarterfinals could provide the perfect fillip after the wave of negative publicity surrounding Liverpool.

"We are Liverpool Football Club and we have to show our crowd what we are made of and put on a good display for our fans," defender Martin Kelly said.

With Manchester rivals City and United out of the FA Cup, the highest-place Premier League side remaining in the competition is third-place Tottenham.

Having overcome Cheltenham and Watford, Harry Redknapp's side has avoided topflight opponents again, with a trip north of London to third-tier side Stevenage on Sunday.

Also Sunday, Stoke hosts Crawley, while Saturday's other fixtures see Everton taking on Blackpool, Bolton at Millwall and Norwich facing Leicester.

NEW YORK (AP) ? Singer Whitney Houston's fans worldwide will be able to share in her private funeral service by watching it on the Internet.

The funeral will be held Saturday at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, N.J., where Houston first showcased her talents as a child.

Houston's family has decided on a private service rather than a large event at an arena.

The Grammy-winning singer, 48, died Saturday at a hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif. Officials say she was underwater and apparently unconscious when she was pulled from a bathtub.

Houston's publicist announced Wednesday that The Associated Press will be allowed a camera at Saturday's funeral. The AP will stream the service on http://livestream.com/aplive . The event also will be available to broadcasters via satellite.

Telamatics and the rise of in-car Internet radio, part II | Telematics ...

In the second of a two-part series, Jan Stojaspal looks at ways Internet radio can enhance in-car infotainment offerings

Although Internet radio and terrestrial broadcasting have thus far largely evolved side by side, there are signs that the line is starting to blur. Internet radios like Slacker may eventually offer live content, and a number of terrestrial broadcasters are moving their services closer to online streaming.?

?There are some things that we can do to make radio more attractive and look a bit more like Internet radio,? says Nick Piggott, head of creative technology at the UK?s Global Radio. ?We can add visualizations on the radio, so we can make it look as good as Spotify. We can provide information that allows the radio to switch between broadcast and IP. We can provide program information, searchable on demand content ? [But] we are not trying to turn radio into an on-demand music service, which we see as primarily replacing CD and not a competition to radio.?

For example, Clear Channel Communications, the leading media company in the United States, has revamped its iHeartRadio, a streaming audio service that now features more?than 800 of the nation?s most popular live broadcast and digital-only radio stations from 150 cities as well as social media integration plus user-created custom stations.?

Don?t forget data services

Many terrestrial broadcasters with digital licenses are also starting to leverage the ability of digital broadcast, whether DAB, DAB+ or, in the United States, HD Radio, to deliver data services alongside audio streams.?

Garmin?s?n?vi 3490LMT is the first GPS navigator to use HD Radio to receive traffic updates?every 30 seconds. JVC?recently launched a car radio that comes with a free lifetime subscription to Clear Channel's Total Traffic+ HD Network service, featuring not only real-time traffic but also news headlines, sports scores and weather updates. Ultimately, James Cridland, a UK-based consultant?focused on new radio technology, believes radio will converge around a hybrid platform capable of seamlessly choosing between over-the-air and Internet broadcasts, thus combining the unique strengths of both services and canceling out some of their individual weaknesses.?

Broadcast radio is an undemanding form of entertainment that is cheap, scalable and provides, in its digital form, and a robust data pipe for one-to-many free delivery of content. But it lacks a back channel to relay information back to the broadcaster.?Internet radio does have a back channel and provides listeners with the ability to continue listening to their favorite stations long after they left their local radio station?s coverage. But it is difficult to scale and becoming more expansive as wireless carriers move away from unlimited data plans.

Hybrid radio

?The benefit of hybrid radio is that I am not chewing up my Internet bandwidth if I just want to listen to my local station,? Cridland says. ?Of course [online audio streaming services] will say that Internet radio will replace FM. I have to say, we are not really seeing any major switch from FM over onto the Internet and I think, realistically, it doesn?t work too well. You know what it?s like trying to get a sensible Internet connection when you are stuck in a traffic jam or when you are at a football game.?

In the UK, more than 100 radio stations are already using RadioDNS, an open-source hybrid radio technology, to deliver clickable visuals that lead to more information on the Internet. This is possible thanks to a unique set of identifiers that travel with the broadcast signal and tell enabled receivers where to find additional content online.?

The first device to launch with RadioDNS was PURE?s Sensia, a portable digital FM and Internet radio. Since Sensia?s 2009 launch, RadioDNS has been incorporated into a number of other devices, including AXiS, a multi-standard digital and Internet radio produced by Revo. But it has yet to become part of any car receivers.

Multiple delivery channels

RadioDNS has demonstrated automatic switching between broadcast radio and IP streaming on a mobile phone, calling it ?the most obvious demonstration so far of how the project can use IP in a way that complements broadcast radio, rather than competes against it.? This summer Global Radio plans to roll out RadioTAG, another RadioDNS feature that makes it possible for listeners to take a digital snapshot of whatever they are listening to?be it a song they like or an ad?and have it delivered to their mobile phone or email account for later consideration, a feature that could be particularly useful in cars as it implies little distraction.

Providing multiple delivery channels with a certain amount of overlap and redundancy may actually be a necessity in the car due to gaps in coverage that not only affect cellular networks but also FM and digital broadcast. ?It makes sense to put in as many pipes as you can to get the content to the consumer,? says Jeffrey P. Jury, executive vice president and chief operating officer of iBiquity Digital Corporation, the developer and licensor of HD Radio technology. ?We see a lot of car companies starting to look at it that way. Having these multiple pipes allows you to pull the data maybe from several different sources, maybe do back-up channels and provide the best possible experience.? As if Jeremy Lin's status as an underdog everyman living out the dream of basketball fans the world over wasn't already appealing enough. Now we can see photos he took of himself and posted to the social networking site Xanga as a young high schooler.

In the shots, Lin imitates the headband-wearing styles of a number of NBA players including Derek Fisher of the Los Angeles Lakers, whom he torched for 38 points on Friday in his true breakout performance. He reportedly captioned each shot with an explanation of which player he was impersonating and why, according to quotes from his account posted to multiple sites and blogs.

Lin's purported Xanga profile, ChiNkBaLLa88, is currently viewable only by friends, but a number of photos from that account are still floating around Reddit and other sites and message boards.

At the time he was apparently posting these photos to Xanga, Lin was an un-recruited high school basketball player in Palo Alto, Calif. He then played four years at traditional basketball backwater Harvard University before going un-drafted out of college. He was cut by two NBA teams before catching on in New York.

Lin has rocketed to fame over the past week during his improbable ascent to NBA stardom, and the hysteria has been especially pronounced on social media.

As he's strung together a series of stellar performances over the past several days "Jeremy Lin" and the hastag #Linsanity have trended regularly on Twitter. Fans use the #Linsanity hashtag to pay homage to his greatness, further burnish his legend, and add to an endless database of puns on his last name. The Chinese micro-blogging services Sina Weibo has been linundated by his fans as well. Multiple tribute raps have appeared on YouTube.

In true sign that Lin has taken over every corner of the Internet, the respected tech news website All Things D, which typically gives sports a wide berth, published a service piece on Friday titled, "Who Put Sports in My Twitter Again? The Jeremy Lin Explainer."

Lin has truly arrived, but his goofy Xanga photos aren't just a funny side-note. They show that pretty much anyone of the millennial generation who hits it big in the future can count on their tweets and Facebook photos -- and even their posts to obscure social networks - coming back to embarrass them.

Lin surely never imagined as a teenager that nosy fans and reporters would ever have an interest in his high school Xanga profile. Today, however, some 225,000 people Facebook Page.

What do you think the social networking age will bring for people who are young today but find fame in the coming years and decades?

Let us know in the comments, and check out the gallery above to see some of the photos and quotes that are popping up all over the Internet.

Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland say the new mom looks 'amazing' and that Blue Ivy is 'beautiful.'
By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Kelly Marino

Earlier this week, new mom Beyoncé stepped out to debut her post-baby body for the first time. Decked out one night in a body-hugging red number and another in a glittering black cocktail dress, B was out in full force to support her hubby Jay-Z when he took the stage for a two-night engagement at New York's famed Carnegie Hall.

B certainly left her fans speechless with her ability to bounce back to hotness just a month after giving birth to baby Blue Ivy, and her former Destiny's Child pals were equally floored. Michelle Williams dished to MTV News, "Man, "She looks fantastic, amazing, amazing, amazing. I wasn't surprised because even before she was pregnant she had a six pack, she was very toned. So, obviously it just went back very quickly."

Fellow DC gal pal Kelly Rowland also can't handle how Beyoncé is bringing sexy back one hot dress at a time. "She looks fantastic. She looks fantastic. I told her she looks so hot!" Rowland exclaimed. "She looks so hot — just even sexier. Love her!"

And Williams noted that it's not just Beyoncé who is doing well these days, but so is 1-month-old Blue. "Absolutely! Absolutely [I've seen everyone]!" she said. "Everybody's doing fantastic, amazing."

Williams' sentiments about Blue Ivy mirror those of comments Rowland previously made about J and B's glory. "She's absolutely beautiful!" Rowland said back in January. "And I say that with such a huge grin! I'm so excited.

"We all just stared at her," she added about meeting the baby for the first time. "I just stared at her. She is so beautiful."

Frustration mounts as Greeks seek elusive bailout deal (Reuters)

ATHENS (Reuters) ? Greek party leaders finally gathered on Wednesday to agree a reform deal in return for a new EU/IMF rescue to avoid a chaotic default, after repeated delays which have prompted warnings that the euro can live without Athens.

With the future of Greece and the wider euro zone at stake, Prime Minister Lucas Papademos' efforts to get the three parties in his government to accept the tough reforms demanded by the European Union and International Monetary Fund seem to have been thwarted by arguments over little more than procedural matters.

One deadline after another has passed without the leaders making up their minds on terms for the new 130 billion euro ($172 billion) rescue which Athens must receive to avoid going bankrupt next month when big debt repayments are due.

What was supposed to have been a crunch meeting on Tuesday was postponed because of missing paperwork, according to one party official, delaying discussion of a deal which will further inflame an angry Greek electorate.

All three parties - conservative New Democracy, the PASOK socialists and far-right LAOS - finally received the 15-page document on Wednesday morning laying out the principles of the bailout and its conditions, a party official told Reuters.

There were seen arriving at the prime minister's office at around 1500 GMT.

Attached to the document are a further 30 or so pages laying out how the program, which is likely to force a big cut in many Greeks' living standards, will be implemented.

The draft of the bailout includes plans to cut the minimum wage by about 20-22 percent, a government official said. It also gives political leaders the option of cutting pensions over 1,200 euros by up to 20 percent or cutting supplementary pensions by 15 percent on average or a combination of cuts in both main and supplementary pensions, the official said.

DELAY AND MORE DELAY

After officials spoke optimistically that the three leaders - New Democracy's Antonis Samaras, PASOK's George Papandreou and LAOS leader George Karatzaferis - would meet just after noon on Wednesday, the meeting was delayed again.

Earlier, an official said Karatzaferis wanted all documentation translated from English - the language of negotiation with the international lenders - into Greek before he would look at them.

The far-right leader then threatened to abandon the meeting because he had not received the Greek version of the document, though he has backed down from similar threats in the past.

Another party demanded several hours to study the draft before discussions could begin, an official at the party said, requesting anonymity.

One Greek news website wrote an open letter to Papademos on Wednesday demanding that he "end this water torture."

"Greeks cannot any longer stand this torment of constant insecurity that is destroying the country and hurting our national dignity," it said. "The prime minister must end this endless bargaining that demeans the country and its citizens."

Facing elections possibly as early as April, coalition leaders have shown little sense of urgency, seemingly deaf to demands from euro zone leaders to make up their minds fast.

An opinion poll on Wednesday showed that PASOK, which ruled Greece until Papandreou's government collapsed last November, has most to fear from elections. The monthly survey by Public Issue for Kathimerini newspaper showed support for PASOK had collapsed to eight percent from the nearly 44 percent it commanded when it returned to power in 2009.

Karatzaferis defended the delays. "We can't say a plain yes or no unless we have assurances from the relevant state authorities that these actions are constitutional and will lead the country out of the crisis."

"There is time. When it comes to the future of the country, we will find the time," he told reporters late on Tuesday.

Such attitudes have raised frustration levels in Greece and abroad close to breaking point. German Chancellor Angela Merkel, whose government funds much of Greece's bailouts, expressed bewilderment on Monday at what the delays could achieve.

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte said the euro zone could live without Athens if it did not keep its side of the bargain.

That drew a robust response from Deputy Finance Minister Filippos Sachinidis who told parliament that the EU treaty has no clause to force any country out of the euro.

"There is no legal ground to throw into question a country's sovereign rights," he said. "A country that does not protect its social fabric has no future."

Some exasperated Greeks believe that their leaders are drawing out the talks to create the impression that they are driving a hard bargain to soften the deal's terms.

The reality is that the "troika" of the European Commission, European Central Bank and IMF holds most of the cards. While the leaders can seek less harsh cuts in some areas, overall targets have to be achieved and savings must be made elsewhere.

BOND EXCHANGE

Greek media reported various elements of the deal were now in place, including a bond swap deal with private creditors to ease Greece's debt burden by reducing the value of government bonds held by banks and insurers. The new bonds would have an average interest rate of around 3.5 percent, said state NET TV.

But one person familiar with matter said that no deal had been nailed down. "Everyone knows where we (creditors) stand. There's a lot of clarity on the terms and conditions but the Greeks still have to provide more feedback," said the source, noting that little had changed since reports that the creditors would take a 70 percent loss on their holdings.

One newspaper also reported that the European Central Bank, which has large holdings of Greek bonds but has refused to take part in the swap, had agreed to sell its holdings at their purchase price to a euro zone bailout fund, the EFSF.

However, one EU official in Brussels said it was highly unlikely the ECB would agree to anything without first seeing that the final elements of the Greek deal were in place.

Financial markets continued to position for a deal being done eventually. Prices of German government bonds, which investors buy at times of uncertainty for their perceived safety, fell on Wednesday. The euro also hit a new two-month high versus the dollar.

Euro zone officials say the full package must be agreed with Greece and approved by the euro zone, European Central Bank and IMF before February 15.
